Minister Visits Home District, Pledges Commitment to Development Projects

The Minister of Energy, Water Resources, and Irrigation made a heartfelt visit to his home district, where he was warmly welcomed by the local community. The Minister emphasized the importance of meeting with his constituents to understand their problems and work on solutions as their representative.

“It is always a pleasure for me to meet with my own people, empathize with their problems, and work on solutions as a representative of the district,” the Minister stated. He reaffirmed his commitment to the promises made during the election, highlighting the proactive steps taken to address local issues.

Accompanied by an expert team from the ministry, including the Secretary of the Water and Energy Commission Secretariat, the Secretary of Energy, a Senior Energy Expert, the Director General of the Electricity Department, and representatives from the Irrigation Department, Hydrology and Meteorology Department, the Alternative Energy Promotion Centre, and the Water Resources Research and Development Centre, the Minister’s visit aimed to gather information on development needs and receive feedback from the community.

“Our goal is to gather information regarding development and receive feedback from the people to make our initiatives more productive and effective,” the Minister explained. He outlined several development projects already initiated in the district, such as:

  • Establishing emergency electricity services in Bhotkhola during disaster times.
  • Conducting the first level of district planning, monitoring, and development work by teams of engineers from the Energy, Irrigation, and Water Resources departments.

The Minister assured the community that more initiatives would soon be started, emphasizing the collective effort needed for the district’s development. “Economic development of the country is possible through the energy and irrigation sectors. We must all move forward together for their development,” he added.

Expressing gratitude for the warm welcome, the Minister concluded, “Thank you, everyone, for your warm welcome! Together, we will drive progress and ensure the timely development of our national pride projects, contributing to the country’s economic development.”
