The Ministry has set a target to generate 28,000 MW of electricity within the next 10 years, despite the challenges that lie ahead.

In a significant move, the Minister also welcomed Purna Bahadur Tamang as the new State Minister in the same ministry. Together, they plan to work collaboratively on various energy, renewable energy, green energy, and irrigation projects.

“Our mission is to overcome challenges and achieve our goal of producing 28,000 MW of electricity in the next decade,” stated the Minister. “I am pleased to welcome Purna Bahadur Tamang as the State Minister. Together, we will ensure the timely development and inspection of our national pride projects, contributing to the country’s economic development.”

The Minister highlighted that the economic growth of Nepal is intrinsically linked to advancements in the energy and irrigation sectors. He stressed the importance of collective effort and collaboration among all stakeholders to achieve these developmental goals.

The inclusion of renewable and green energy projects is expected to play a crucial role in ensuring sustainable development. By focusing on hydro energy and other renewable sources, the Ministry aims to reduce dependency on fossil fuels and promote a cleaner, greener environment.

State Minister Purna Bahadur Tamang echoed the Minister’s sentiments, expressing his commitment to the mission. “Working together, we will drive progress in our energy and irrigation sectors, ensuring that these projects are completed on time and within budget,” he said.

The Ministry’s plan also includes rigorous inspection and monitoring of ongoing projects to ensure their successful completion. This proactive approach is expected to address any potential roadblocks and streamline project execution.

The government’s focus on energy and irrigation is seen as a vital step towards fostering sustainable economic growth. By leveraging the potential of these sectors, Nepal aims to enhance its infrastructure, create job opportunities, and improve the overall quality of life for its citizens.
